House Benelluka
I have been owned by dogs since I was a young girl. I must pay homage to my ridgeless mix Katie, who changed my life forever when she introduced me to the loyalty of a hound. My second Ridgeback and first purebred, Benelli, was rescued through the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue. I lost him all too soon to Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) which fueled my passion to search for a healthier, genetically sound and tested puppy. After the tragic loss of my sweet boy, I made health testing one of my top priorities, to ensure that my dogs will be sound and clear from preventable orthopedic and genetic conditions. I ask that you not only support reputable breeders who test for and breed according to genetic soundness, but also your local rescue.
My Vision
I do not wish to be a breeder of flash-in-the-pan dogs. I want to be remembered by contributing something worthwhile and meritorious to our grand and noble breed. Becoming a creditable owner and breeder is what we all must strive for in order to preserve those legacies before us. My only hope is that one day I will leave a legacy of my own.
